DAISY JONES BAR
The first sign must be installed against the 5m x 1,25mm wall of the mezzanine area.
The second sign measuring 1,4m x 1m must be secured to the outside wall at the bar area.
Project Challenges
The inside sign must be manufactured of a suitable material and installed in such a way as to enhance the acoustics.
The outside sign must be secured tightly, because it is in a windy area but it also had to be removeable.
Proposed Solution
The big sign: Build a light weight but very sturdy aluminium square tubing frame, consisting of 4 sections.
Fill each section with 5cm thick acoustic panel material.
Print the logo in white on a black cloth material.
Stretch the printed cloth material over the frame.
Installation Process
Both signs were manufactured in the factory and installed in one day.
The outside sign was easy to install, but the inside sign was quite a challenge, being 3m above the ground.
